Granite

Granite is a great flooring choice, though not cheap. It is wonderful to have for its low maintenance and durability.

However, when it does need service, it can be a little more difficult to maintain due to two reasons:

• It is typically much harder of a stone, compared to other flooring choices like limestone & marble
• Unlike marble or limestone, it typically doesn’t react to acid

This means when it does need service, more effort is required to get the results you are looking for, in time and/or labor. But once up to par, further service won’t be required as soon as it would be with those other softer stones.
